Description
Introduction and Mode of Action: Hexaflumuron is a systemic, stomach, and penetrative insecticide from the benzoylurea group that inhibits chitin synthesis.
Pre-Harvest Interval (PHI):
The interval between the last spraying and harvest is 29 days for pistachios, while the PHI for citrus is not specified.
Applications and Dosage:
Crop | Pest | Dosage |
Pistachio | Psyllid | 0.5 to 0.7 L per 1000 L water |
Pistachio | Stem borer moth | 1 L per 1000 L water with 0.5% emulsifiable oil |
Citrus | Citrus leafminer in young nursery trees (3–5 years old) | 25 ml Hexaflumuron with 300 ml emulsifiable oil in 100 L water |
Application Management
For citrus pests, two applications are needed at 10-day intervals.
