Description
Introduction and Mode of Action: Bromoxynil Octanoate + MCPA is a selective post-emergence herbicide. Bromoxynil has contact action with slight systemic effects, interfering with electron transport in Photosystem II, thereby inhibiting photosynthesis. MCPA is a hormonal herbicide that controls and eliminates weeds by inhibiting meristem growth.
Application and Dosage
Crop | Target Weeds | Dosage |
Wheat | Annual Broadleaf Weeds | 1.5 L/ha |
Pre-harvest Interval (PHI): The interval between the last spraying and harvest, or livestock grazing, must be at least 14 days.
Application Method
- Select and calibrate a suitable sprayer.
- Dissolve the recommended amount of herbicide in a small quantity of water.
- Add this solution to a calibrated sprayer tank that is half-filled with water.
- While stirring, add the remaining required amount of water.
- The sprayer’s agitator must remain active during mixing and spraying.
Precautions
- Avoid ingesting the herbicide, contaminating food and animal feed, skin and eye contact, and inhaling spray particles.
- Do not eat, drink, or smoke during spraying.
- Wear protective clothing, including work uniform, hat, goggles, mask, boots, and impermeable gloves.
- After spraying, wash hands, body, and clothes thoroughly.
- Do not reuse pesticide containers. Empty containers must be stored away from water sources and disposed of according to national environmental regulations.
- Transport of this pesticide must comply with international hazardous material regulations.
Storage Conditions
- Store the pesticide out of reach of children and animals, in its original packaging, in sealed storage facilities away from sunlight, moisture, and livestock.
- Storage temperature should be between 10°C and 35°C.
- Once the container seal is broken, the product’s shelf life decreases.
- Do not store the pesticide in aqueous solution form.

- If Bromoxynil Octanoate comes into contact with skin or face, wash the affected area multiple times with soap and water.
- If poisoning symptoms occur, seek medical attention immediately and present the pesticide label to the doctor.
Environmental Toxicity
- This pesticide is highly toxic to fish and aquatic organisms.
- Remove livestock and poultry from the treated area before application, and prevent grazing in freshly treated fields.
- Avoid contaminating drinking water, stagnant water, and groundwater with the pesticide or its solution.
- Do not wash spraying equipment near rivers or water sources.
