Description
Introduction and Mode of Action: Cyproconazole + Carbendazim is a systemic fungicide with protective and curative effects from the triazole and benzimidazole groups. Cyproconazole inhibits the biosynthesis of ergosterol in the fungal cell membrane, while Carbendazim disrupts mitotic division by inhibiting beta-tubulin synthesis.
Usage and Application Rates:
Crop | Disease | Application Rate |
Wheat | Fusarium Head Blight | 500 milliliters per hectare |
Canola | Sclerotinia Stem Rot | 1 liter per hectare |
Pre-harvest Interval (PHI):
The interval between the last spraying and harvest for wheat is 42 days.
Method of Application:
- Select and calibrate an appropriate sprayer.
- Dissolve the recommended amount of pesticide in a small quantity of water.
- Add this solution to the half-filled, calibrated sprayer tank.
- While stirring, add the remaining required water.
- Ensure the sprayer tank agitator operates during both preparation and spraying.
Precautions:
- Avoid ingestion, contaminating food, skin or eye contact, and inhaling spray particles.
- Wear protective clothing, a hat, goggles, a mask, boots, and impermeable gloves during spraying.
- Wash clothes and body after spraying.
- Refrain from smoking during spraying.
- Do not reuse pesticide containers. Empty containers must be stored away from water sources and disposed of environmentally in compliance with national regulations.
- Transport the pesticide in accordance with international hazardous material regulations.
Storage Conditions:
Store the pesticide out of reach of children and animals, in its original packaging, in closed warehouses, away from sunlight, moisture, and livestock. The storage temperature should be between 10°C and 35°C. Opening the seal reduces the product’s shelf life. Avoid storing the pesticide in an aqueous solution form.
Symptoms of Poisoning and First Aid:
Symptoms include headache, dizziness, nausea, and visual disturbances. If the solution spills on the skin or face, wash the affected area thoroughly with soap and water several times. If poisoning symptoms occur, consult a doctor and provide the pesticide label.
Environmental Toxicity:
This pesticide is highly toxic to aquatic organisms. Keep livestock and poultry away from treated areas during spraying, and prevent grazing in recently sprayed areas. Avoid contaminating surface, stagnant, and underground drinking water sources with the pesticide or its solution. Do not clean spraying equipment near rivers or running water.
Antidote:
There is no specific antidote for Cyproconazole + Carbendazim.
