This oil forms a stable thin layer on sprayed surfaces, covering the bodies and eggs of insects, blocking their respiratory and vital pores, and sometimes preventing spore dispersion in certain fungi, thereby reducing damage. Additionally, it dissolves the waxy layer of the insect’s skin, causing it to become trapped by water’s surface tension<\/a>.<\/p>\n
