Introduction and Mode of Action: <\/strong>2,4-D is a systemic and selective herbicide from the phenoxycarboxylic<\/a> acid group. It is primarily absorbed through the leaves and works by mimicking plant auxins, controlling broadleaf weeds in wheat and barley fields. It disrupts indoleacetic oxidase enzymes<\/a>, leading to increased auxin concentration in tissues, which ultimately destroys the weeds.<\/p>\n

Method of Application:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Select and calibrate an appropriate sprayer.<\/li>\n
  2. Dissolve the recommended amount of pesticide in a small quantity of water.<\/li>\n
  3. Add this solution to the half-filled, calibrated sprayer tank.<\/li>\n
  4. While stirring, add the remaining required water.<\/li>\n
  5. Ensure the sprayer tank agitator operates during solution preparation and spraying.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Precautions:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    • Avoid ingesting the pesticide, contaminating food, skin or eye contact, and inhaling spray particles.<\/li>\n
    • During spraying, wear work clothes, a hat, goggles, a mask, boots, and impermeable gloves.<\/li>\n
    • Wash clothes and body after spraying.<\/li>\n
    • Refrain from smoking during spraying.<\/li>\n
    • Do not reuse pesticide containers. Empty containers must be stored away from water sources and disposed of environmentally in compliance with national regulations.<\/li>\n
    • Transport the pesticide in accordance with international hazardous material regulations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Storage Conditions:<\/strong>
      \nStore the 2,4-D herbicide out of reach of children and animals, in its original packaging, in closed warehouses, away from sunlight, moisture, and livestock. Storage temperature should be between 10\u00b0C and 35\u00b0C. Opening the seal reduces the product’s shelf life. Do not store the pesticide in an aqueous solution form.<\/p>\n

      Symptoms of Poisoning and First Aid:<\/strong>
      \nSymptoms include headaches, dizziness, nausea, and visual disturbances. If the solution spills on the skin or face, wash the affected area thoroughly with soap and water several times. If poisoning symptoms occur, consult a doctor and show them the pesticide label.<\/p>\n

      Environmental Toxicity:<\/strong>
      \nKeep livestock and poultry away from treated areas during spraying, and prevent grazing in recently sprayed areas. Avoid contaminating surface, stagnant, and underground drinking water sources with the pesticide or its solution. Do not clean spraying equipment near rivers or running water.<\/p>\n

      Antidote:<\/strong>
