Description
Introduction and Mode of Action: Bentazone is a contact herbicide with selective action from the benzothiadiazinone group. It works by inhibiting Photosystem II activity, disrupting the photosynthesis process, and causing the destruction of weeds.
Application and Dosage
Crop | Target Weeds | Dosage |
Rice (at the 5-7 leaf stage) | Broadleaf weeds and Cyperaceae family | 3 to 5 L/ha |
Soybean (after the 2-3 leaf stage) | – | 2 to 2.5 L/ha |
Alfalfa and Clover | – | 2.5 to 3 L/ha |
Pre-harvest Interval (PHI): No officially registered PHI has been recorded so far.
