Description
Introduction and Mode of Action: This fungicide is a combination of iprodione and carbendazim with contact, systemic, and protective effects.
- Carbendazim works by inhibiting beta-tubulin synthesis, which disrupts mitotic cell division.
- The exact mode of action of iprodione is not fully identified, but it exhibits protective and slight curative properties against fungi.
Application and Dosage:
Crop | Disease | Dosage |
Barley | Brown stripe leaf spot, Fusarium head blight | 1 kg per 1000 L water |
Rice | Sheath blight | 1 kg per hectare (foliar spray) or 150 g per 100 kg seeds (seed treatment) |
Mulberry | Mulberry twig blight | 1 kg per 1000 L water |
Citrus | Green mold (Penicillium) | Dip fruits in a 2 per 1000 solution |
Pre-Harvest Interval (PHI):
- No official pre-harvest interval has been recorded for this fungicide yet.
Application Management:
- Application timing should be determined based on forecasting and monitoring.
Application Method:
- Select and calibrate an appropriate sprayer.
- Dissolve the recommended amount of fungicide in a small amount of water.
- Pour the prepared solution into a half-filled sprayer tank.
- While stirring, add the remaining required water.
- The sprayer agitator must remain active during preparation and application.
Precautions:
- Avoid ingestion, contamination of food and animal feed, skin and eye contact, inhaling spray particles, eating, or drinking during application.
- Wear protective clothing, including work attire, a hat, goggles, a mask, boots, and impermeable gloves.
- After spraying, wash clothes and body thoroughly.
- Smoking is strictly prohibited during spraying.
- Do not reuse empty pesticide containers.
- Empty containers must be stored away from water sources and disposed of according to national environmental regulations.
- Transport must comply with international hazardous materials regulations.
Storage Conditions:
- Keep the fungicide out of reach of children and animals.
- Store in its original packaging in sealed warehouses, away from sunlight, moisture, and livestock.
- Storage temperature: between 10°C and 35°C.
- Once the seal is broken, the shelf life decreases.
- Do not store the fungicide as an aqueous solution.
Poisoning Symptoms and First Aid:
Symptoms include mouth irritation, abdominal pain, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.
- If the pesticide comes into contact with the face or body, immediately wash the affected area several times with soap and water.
- In case of poisoning symptoms, seek immediate medical attention and show the pesticide label to the doctor.
Environmental Toxicity:
- Iprodione-Carbendazim has moderate toxicity for honeybees, birds, and aquatic organisms.
- Keep livestock and poultry away before spraying.
- Prevent grazing in freshly treated areas.
- Do not contaminate drinking water sources, including rivers, stagnant water, and groundwater, with the fungicide or its solution.
- Do not wash spraying equipment near rivers or flowing water.
Antidote:
- No specific antidote is available for Iprodione-Carbendazim. In case of poisoning, consult a doctor immediately.
